Distributed Systems, Parallel Computing, and Networks

Distributed Systems, Parallel Computing, and Networks

In order for computing infrastructures or communication networks to deal with the explosion in the amount of data, the "Distributed Systems, Parallel Computing and Networks" axis first aims at providing a better understanding of such infrastructures through setting up, monitoring and analyzing real experiments to develop more realistic simulators or modeling.

It also aims at automating the construction and management of Cloud systems. At last, the axis studies and optimizes performances through various means (compilation, runtime execution, scheduling, intra-application communications, ...) in large scale computing infrastructures as well as mobile devices and also evaluates and designs new communication protocols for wired/wireless networks and the Internet of Things.
